“ Great beach bar and restaurant between an historic fort and a romantic tower. Walk or drive past the tower for an even prettier beach after lunch. The speciality is fish. Lots of squid and fried fish for starters and dishes like swordfish and whole turbot for the main course. Meat, rice dishes and salads also available. Deserts are home made. Choose a table inside or outside on a sheltered terrace. ”
“ The best place in the area for drinks and food. Food was always very tasty! The staff is friendly and helpful. Plus is the great view on the sea ”
“ Great food. Big portions and well cooked calamari and best clams ever had ”
“ Stopped by here on our walk to Pirulico’s Tower. Beers were amazing, water refreshing and the staff were just great and so friendly. Right next to the sea and offers views of the nearby Castillo. ”
“ Lovely find after a very hot walk up to El Torre del Peñón from Playa del Cantal and back. Beautiful views and calm environment Pinta was €3.50 Didn't eat as we are veggie and as usual little or no choice except a salad or Patatas Bravas. We just wanted a snack too but no small bites. The food however did look good. Dog friendly beach so lots of dogs but well behaved owners! The camerero was lovely and indulgent with my spanish I heard him speaking to others in impeccable english. ”
“ We ate here three times during our recent holiday in Spain and would highly recommend it to anyone nearby - just be aware they are only open during the day until seven. The food is very reasonably priced compared to elsewhere, portions are generous and all the fish was exceptionally fresh. Waiting staff were wonderfully attentive and always went out of their way to help if they could, recommending places to visit etc ”
“ Stopped here in a walk to the nearby fortifications. The reviews looked good and it didn’t disappoint. We had an ice cold crisp glass of wine which was delightful and only €2.50 a glass which is a bargain. We then had a light meal of grilled sardines and patatas bravas, the patatas was the best we had in this trip, a really big portion with a nicely spiced sauce generously drizzled across. The entire meal was under €25 euros which I think was very fair. Waitress was very friendly and the restaurant was very busy, because of the shape of the establishment you need to be bold to get the waitress attention but this is no criticism, faultless meal. ”
“ Probably our favourite venue to date. Lovely outdoor eating/ drinking venue. Service excellent, friendly and multi lingual. Venue is everything you’d want in a beach bar. Reminded me of Crete. Good was delicious. Tomatoes the sweetest we’ve found so far. Calamari was tender and my Tuna steak was pink in the middle but charred outside. Chips were good too. If your looking for a good Chiringuito this is for you, but you won’t get Pie and mash, Prices were reasonable too. We will definitely be going back! ”
